Health and safety support that wins you work and keeps you on site
Site-specific RAMS, accreditation support and a named competent person on the end of the phone. Written by a health and safety professional with more than 20 years in the job, currently working at principal contractor level on major commercial and R&D projects. Not generated by software.

The problems that cost small contractors real money
RAMS rejected by the main contractor
The job is booked, the team is ready, and the site manager has bounced your paperwork. Every day it sits in review is a day you are not earning.
Failed a PQQ on the health and safety section
You could do the work standing on your head. You lost the tender on paperwork before anyone looked at your price.
CHAS or SSIP renewal looming
The renewal email is sitting in your inbox and the evidence folder is a year out of date. Losing the badge means losing the clients who require it.
No time to keep on top of it
You run the jobs, quote the work, chase the invoices. The health and safety file is the thing that always slips, right up until someone asks for it.
Trade Safe Compliance fixes all four. Documents written from the side of the table that reviews them, accreditations handled start to finish, and ongoing support priced for small firms. Fixed prices, agreed in writing, before any work starts.

The Compliance Health Check
Most small contractors have gaps they do not know about, and they find out at the worst possible moment: an HSE visit, a lost tender, or an accident investigation. The Health Check finds them first.
94 checks. One scored report. A plan you can act on.
A structured review of your business against UK legal requirements and the criteria main contractors and SSIP schemes actually score you on.
- Health and safety, insurance, employment basics and accreditations
- Every finding rated red, amber or green by priority
- Each gap mapped to a clear, costed fix
- A prioritised action plan you can work through yourself, or hand to us
The full £295 is deducted from any follow-on work over £1,000. If you act on it, the Health Check costs you nothing.

Fixed price, quoted up front Sized to your business, not sold by the page.

When the job cannot wait
Your work goes to the front of the queue. For the site that starts tomorrow and the renewal that lands Friday. From £495 per RAMS pack.

Growing businesses
ISO, environment and premises compliance
ISO certification and social value scoring now decide who gets onto main contractor supply chains and framework tenders, and premises compliance is the gap most businesses find out about the hard way. Most consultancy quotes for this work are built for big firms. Ours are not.
ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
Practical management systems implemented and taken through to certification, sized for small firms. We have built these from a standing start in businesses of every size, up to international groups. Documents your team will actually use, not a shelf of binders.
- Gap analysis against the standard before any commitment
- Implementation, internal audit and certification support
- Ongoing maintenance retainer at £150 a month: internal audits, management reviews and surveillance audit prep
From £1,495 Per standard, implementation to certification readiness. Prices exclude VAT.
Environmental compliance
The environmental documents larger clients and public contracts now ask for, written to be used rather than filed.
- Carbon reduction plans for public sector and main contractor requirements
- Environmental policies and waste management plans
- Annual reviews built in, so the documents stay current
Fixed price, quoted up front Based on what your clients are asking you for.
Fire risk and legionella
If you occupy or control premises, the law makes you responsible for both. These are the two assessments businesses most often discover they are missing, usually when a landlord, insurer or client asks.
- Fire risk assessments under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
- Legionella risk assessments and water hygiene arrangements (ACOP L8)
- Annual reviews built in, with findings tracked to close-out
Fixed price, quoted up front Based on premises size and complexity.
Custom systems for your business
The systems we run our own consultancy on, built for your business: live dashboards, registers, trackers and workflow tools that replace the spreadsheet chaos.
- Compliance registers and document control that run themselves
- Job tracking, audits and inspections in one place
- Built around how your business already works
Discovery session £295 Half a day mapping what you need. Credited against the build.
How it works
Three steps. No surprises.
Tell us about the job
Site, task, team, deadline. Ten minutes is usually enough for us to quote.
Fixed price, in writing
You get a price and a delivery date before anything starts. The price you agree is the price you pay.
Delivered, checked, backed
Documents written for your site, checked by a qualified person, amended free if a client pushes back.
Who you are dealing with
Written from the side of the table that reviews them
Trade Safe Compliance is run by a health and safety professional with more than 20 years in the job, from site level through to head of health and safety roles across UK and international operations. Right now that means leading health and safety at principal contractor level on a major commercial R&D facility installation: temporary works, permits to work, scaffolding and full site health and safety management.
That matters for one simple reason. The person writing your RAMS has spent years being the person who accepts or rejects them. We know exactly what a site manager looks for, what gets a document bounced, and what makes a reviewer relax and sign it off.
The experience spans construction, logistics and warehousing, manufacturing, engineering, leisure, healthcare, automotive and facilities. That breadth matters because your clients come from all of those worlds, and their expectations follow them onto your paperwork.
Based in Milton Keynes, working across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire in person, and UK wide remotely. Documents are written by a person, checked by a person, and backed by professional indemnity insurance.

Straight answers
Questions we get asked
Do I legally need a written health and safety policy?
If you employ five or more people, yes. Section 2(3) of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 requires a written policy. In practice you will need one earlier than that, because main contractors and SSIP schemes such as CHAS ask for a current policy regardless of your headcount.
How fast can you turn a RAMS around?
Standard turnaround is 48 hours and a 24 hour priority service is available. Turnaround is measured in working days from the point we have the full project information: site details, scope of works, and anything the principal contractor has issued. We tell you exactly what we need when we quote.
What is a Compliance Health Check?
A fixed price gap analysis of your business against UK legal requirements and the criteria used by SSIP schemes and main contractor supply chains. 94 checks, a scored report, and a prioritised action plan. The £295 fee is deducted from any follow-on work over £1,000.
Do we really need ISO certification?
Legally, no. Commercially, increasingly yes. ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 are scoring criteria on main contractor supply chains and framework tenders, and their absence is quietly costing small contractors work they could win. We implement practical systems sized for small firms, and a gap analysis first means you know the size of the job before committing.
What does a retained competent person actually do?
Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 requires every business to have access to competent health and safety advice. A retained package gives you a named person who knows your business: your policy kept current, your documents reviewed before they go anywhere, and advice on the phone when something happens on site.
Are your documents written by AI?
Every document is written and checked by a qualified person, tailored to your site and your business, and signed off by a named consultant who stands behind it. That is the difference between a document that gets accepted and a template that gets bounced.
